Terms of Service

Last updated: June 10, 2026

Acceptance

By creating an account or using What's In My Bin, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

The service

What's In My Bin provides a storage inventory tool. You can create bins, add items, generate QR codes, and share public scan pages. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the service at any time, with reasonable notice where possible.

Your account

  • You must be 13 or older to use this service.
  • You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
  • One person per account — please don't share login credentials.
  • You may use household sharing features to give family members access to your bins.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:
  • Use the service for any illegal purpose.
  • Store or share content that is harmful, abusive, or violates anyone's rights.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or disrupt the service.
  • Use the public scan pages to distribute spam or misleading information.

Public scan pages

Bin scan pages (/scan/[id]) are publicly accessible to anyone with the link. You are solely responsible for the content you put in your bins and items. Don't include sensitive personal information in public-facing bins.

Free & Pro plans

The Free plan is available at no cost indefinitely. Pro features may be introduced in the future at a paid tier. We will give existing users reasonable notice before changing the pricing or availability of features.

Your data

You own your data. We don't claim any intellectual property rights over the content you create. You can export or delete your data at any time. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Liability

What's In My Bin is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. We are not liable for any loss of data, loss of access, or other damages arising from use of the service. In no event shall our liability exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (which may be $0 on the free plan).

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We'll post significant changes on this page.
